Interview Questions

 

The following are questions commonly asked by employers during an interview. Interview questions are tools to determine what you know and, how you have behaved in the past.  Questions regarding education, work experience, and technical skills are used to judge what you know.  The interviewer will try and determine your behavioral characteristics by asking questions related to your interpersonal skills and motivations.

Q) Why are you leaving your current company?  Why have you left past employers?
Q) How did you get along with coworkers, supervisors, customers/users?
Q) Do you prefer to work independently, on teams or a mixture of both?
Q) Have you made presentations to management and/or clients in the past?
Q) What do you consider to be your strengths, weaknesses, and areas for development?
Q) What are your greatest professional accomplishments?
Q) Do you enjoy working directly with clients or do you prefer being given the specifications?
Q) On a scale of 1 to 10, how would you rate your skill level?
Q) Describe your ideal position?
Q) What was the most useful criticism you ever received?
Q) How would your friends describe you?
Q) That do you think is the easiest/hardest part of this job?
Q) Where do you want to be in the future?
Q) What skills do you want to learn or improve?
Q) Cite examples from your past that demonstrates your ability to handle pressure, deadlines, and/or productivity problems?
Q) Why do you want this job? What do you know about the company? What did you learn from the company website?
